About Joe's Tire

Joe's Tire is a tire shop in New Bedford, Massachusetts. It is listed at 2179 Acushnet Ave, New Bedford, MA 02745, which places it among the local businesses of New Bedford that residents and visitors turn to when they need this kind of service close by.

Tire shops sell and install new tires, patch punctures, balance wheels and, at most locations, align the suspension. Prices are quoted per tire plus mounting, balancing, valve stems and a state disposal fee for the old set; many shops price-match and include free rotation and flat repair for the life of the tire. Used tire shops sell inspected take-offs for a fraction of the price of new ones, useful for an older car or a single replacement, but check the tread depth (4/32 inch or more) and the DOT date code, since rubber ages even on the shelf. Mobile tire services come to your driveway or the roadside, commercial shops handle semi, trailer, farm and off-road tires, and wheel shops repair and refinish bent or curb-scraped rims.

The business lists hours on 6 days of the week. The most common schedule is 8 am–5 pm. It is closed on Sunday. New Bedford is in Massachusetts, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. Getting around New Bedford is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across Massachusetts's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

I got my tires rotated at the Kia place which I usually do because I'm one of those people that go to the dealership for everything.. the next day the front passenger light went on in my car, my tire was losing air.. I didn't have time to go back to the Kia place , my daughter told me to go to Joe's tire. Molly was the tire tech person she said pull up right over here shut the car off.. within less than 10 minutes the tire was off she plug the tire which had a nail in it.. don't know if I picked up the nail on the way home or kia missed it when they rotated them..DONE $15.00 .. believe me... You can tell Molly knows all about this job, I asked if she also could get new tires ? she suggested a brand , said she could get new tires in one day as long as she had the heads up when I wanted to come in... Told me the price including labor.. she said it was a good idea to get them before winter, I told her I would see her in October !!! I suggest you don't be skeptical and go to this place...excellent service Molly, thank you .. Kathryn

Came in with a drywall screw in my rear right tire. My car is brand new and I had the big chain tire store closest to my house telling me that it was too close to the wall of the tire and that I needed a new one. Looking at it, I knew they had to be feeding me a line. They were trying to sell me a tire, probably a whole new set, considering my car is all wheel drive. I brought the car in at around 8:30 am on a Monday. The worker there told me they could do it, no problem. I was in and out with a 15 dollar plug. They got themselves a loyal customer. They saved my day. Can't recommend them enough.

Been getting tires repaired and purchased used ones at Joe's for years. This past week needed a tire and was looking for a match to what I already had. Joe's had an almost new, exact match, fair price and great service! Highly recommended!
